Letter from the President - April 2013

Welcome to the 67th annual Crosby Fair and Rodeo. First of all, I would like to wish all of our exhibitors this year the best of luck with their projects. We know they have a lot of time and hard work in these projects and we want them to feel proud to exhibit them at CF&R.

This year has been going well with all the new improvements. The bucking chutes were delivered and installed in December. We purchased more panels and gates to make our small animals pen more users friendly. June will be here before we know it and all of the directors are working diligently on their committees from the entertainment to a full Cook-off, to making our Junior Competitions the best they have ever been. We are also looking forward to bringing back our world champion PRCA rodeo with lots of entertainment and Professional Cowboys entered in each event from calf roping to the bull riding. We are also excited to bring back the "mutton bustin" which we will be able to increase the numbers of participants from last year. Be sure and check out the website for information on how to enter.

Our spring dance was held on 3/29/13 and had a large turnout with a successful auction as well. This is a major fund raiser for us and we want to thank all of those who came out and help make it a success.

Crosby Fair and Rodeo also co-sponsored "Bras for the Cause" this year in February which had a record year. We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate their committee for a job well done. 100% of the net proceeds raised goes to our local chapter of American Cancer Society.

In closing, I would like to invite each and every one of you out to enjoy all the festivities we have lined up in June. Just remember our dates have been changed and you can find them on our newly redesigned website at crosbyfairandrodeo.net. Last but certainly not least don't forget about the auction, which is what all the hard work is about "The Kids".

Thanks again for all your continued support,

~ Sonny Armstrong
